Online Radio Stations

I like nothing better than to get in front of the PC on a Saturday afternoon and listen to Ron and Jean's show Radio Rumpus Room on KFAI out of Minneapolis USA. The show is broadcast from 9 pm to 10.30 pm Friday, Minneapolis time. You can listen to the KFAI live stream or the archived files of the show, which are kept online for 2 weeks after their initial broadcast. Be sure to vist the Radio Rumpus Room website too!

Another favourite show of mine is Tuesday Night Rock'n'Roll Party on WUSB-FM over in New York. A three hour feast of primal Rock'n'Roll, broadcast from 9 pm to midnight Tuesdays, New York time. You can listen to the entire show online through the website at http://wusb.fm/top/rockandroll/

Anarchy On The Net Natalie's show on live365. Keeping the spirit of '77 alive! Showcasing punk and independent music through 4 decades of chaos and mayhem. Tune in for punk, ska, goth, electronic and women's vox and music. Click here to go to the Station Page (Broadband essential).

Bands

The following bands were kind enough to send Consolidated Fuzz a CD for airplay - the kind of behaviour we strongly encourage!

Rocket To Memphis Voodoo Rock from Western Australia! Check 'em out on MySpace, and buy their "Swampwater Shuffle" E.P. - "featuring harrowing tales of trigger-happy vixens, cleaver-wielding high-steppers, lost love, and lost body parts... it's a wild mess of voodoo rhythms, twisted jazz and stompin', hell-catchy swamp anthems! Turn the damn thang up, and git twistin' to the Swampwater Shuffle!"

The Loungeabillies A potent mix of Rockabilly, Lounge and Cool Jazz - go dig some selections from "Mucho Mondo Make-out Music" on their MySpace page.

The Goldstars "a welcome jolt of straight ahead rock and roll that goes for the throat like a cold Pabst in a smoky club" Couldn't have said it better myself!

Molting Vultures "If you like your rock and roll loud, fuzzed out and rolling around in the mud making strange noises, then have a listen to The Molting Vultures."

The Hot Rocks Ace French Rockabilly band - if you're into the Johnny Burnette Rock 'n' Roll Trio this is the closest you're going to get in this millennium! Their site has sound bites and links to videos as well.

Other

Dead Guy, the Cartoon is a great cartoon blog by Ignatius M. Dedd. Biting and, most importantly, FUNNY political satire. In his own words, "these cartoons on this blog are often offensive, angry, crude, scatological, absurd, and "politically incorrect" (whatever that means). Mr. Dedd takes no responsibility for any hurt feelings, whether they are from right wing nuts (or left wing nuts), religious wackos, prudes, the overweight, or just plain stupid people". You have been warned.

Sadly, Dead Guy is on a long hiatus but you can still enjoy the archived cartoons.
